Boxing day 2012 saw the third year of Agape Kitchens Out Reach to Homeless people in Hackney and the surrounding areas.
During 2012 we noticed that it was not only homeless people that were coming for support, but also people who were struggling financial.
It seems that in this day of deficits and benefit cuts the most vulnerable people in society are being made to pay for the mistakes of our country’s leaders.click here to see more pictures from our 2012 Boxing Day Dinner
We would like to give a massive Thank You to all our volunteers past and present for helping us to make a difference in the lives of so many people.
Your generosity has enabled people who would usually go without to experience what so many people take for granted year in year out.
Agape Kitchen would like to thank all who sacrificed their Boxing day, to show love and serve less fortunate people.
As the turnout was so over whelming I won’t be able to name everybody however here are some of the lovely people we would like to thank:
Dayne Miller, Marla Brown, Emma Walsh, Kevin Lisbie, Briana Oderinde, Claudia Mire, Warren Price, Tobi Bakare, Derrick Mintah, Ray Sesay, Simon Thomas, Angela Thomas, Diane Thompson, Nisha Summan, Erica Leeson, Moyo Odufra, Akin Thomas, Toyin Ayedun-Alase, Viven Hill, Monique Graver.
Special thanks for all our unnamed volunteers, and also to those who donated clothes and food. This event would not have been such a success without you all.
We would also like to thank Sainsbury’s for their food donation.
Agape Kitchen are now planing forward to our next dinner which, God willing will be Easter. If you would like to be involved in any way to get in touch with us, details on the contact page.
Once again we thank you all for helping us to give the homeless people of Hackney and surrounding areas a glimpse of Agape Love. May God bless you all in the name of Jesus.
